Berkie's Babies!!! Happy Mothers Day!!!

We make a big deal about Mothers Day.

But then we do have an amazing Mommy!!!

Yeah I am bragging, but hey, I can!!!

We love her so much!!!

Ok.. I am sorry, I should get back to the original subject.....

Well she had babies... on Mothers Day!!!!

She was the first pig that let us be in the pen while she was delivering the little bacon bits!!! What a beautiful thing, birth that is...

The babies are sooo sweet!!! I can hardly believe that they are ours!

You have no idea how amazing it is to look out over your property, and see your animals and their babies...... God is so good!!! We are blessed!!!

Anyway.....

This week we were in a hurry to finish the pasture fence.... well maybe I should say the wooded forage, but who cares about technicalities anyway???

So for the first time ever, we installed a three strand electric fence...

Ummmm..... I know what your next thought is going to be....

Did you get zapped???

Let's just say that when you are installing a fence with another person, you really need to communicate!!!

And yes.... it hurts!

But hey! I was practicing some songs on the banjo and, well, my fingers were electrified!!!

We loved learning, and the fence is working great!!!!

Arnie, the boar, loves the new space to roam!

The perfect spot for raising pigs!

I love the farming life!!!

I am a pig rancher, and proud of it!!!

I love baby pigs!!!

They are sooo sweet!!

And they are so soft!!!

I am telling you, you will want a piglet as soon as you touch one of these little squeakers!!!
