A third life

Hi everyone!
This section of the blog is for us to share our faith in Jesus, so I thought a good way to start would be to share my testimony with all of you!
The first life
When I was six I heard preaching in a Baptist church in the South. The preacher talked about Heaven and Hell and how we need a Savior. I talked to a worker at the group home I was in and she prayed with me. I was so excited! Now I didn't know much about being a Christian (being only six) so every morning before the school bus came I would pray ''Lord if I'm not saved, please save me now!'' I didn't this until I was adopted at age nine.
The second life
My second life started with I was adopted by my wonderful godly parents!
One day Mom was teaching the Bible to us kids, and it happened to be on the topic of salvation. I told her I didn't know for sure if I was saved or not, she said ''well I guess you better take care of that!'' So I rededicated my life to the Lord. Now I am sure of my salvation, and that's when my third life began!
The third life
My third life is definitely the best of the three! I cant begin to tell you the joy that I have in Jesus! Now I'm not saying it has all been swell and dandy because it sure hasn't been. There has been trials, and temptations, but God has shown himself faithful through it all!
It's those hard times that make you solely depend on God and what he has planned for you. They draw you closer to Him and deepen your faith. My faith is so much deeper because of the trials I have gone through. That I know for sure.
So I am going to encourage you if you do know Christ to continue to seek him and don't give up if your going through a hard time. Have patience...IT'S A VIRTUE!
And if you don't know Christ I would encourage you to pull out a bible (if you have one) and start reading the book of John. If you don't have a bible then talk to someone you know that is a Christian or message us! We would love to answer any questions you may have!
Well this was an intro to many more posts about God and his faithfulness, so please stay tuned!
Soli Deo Gloria ~Emma
